Build the Nation and Win Elections
I propose a two-pronged strategy: Empower through technical education and enable entrepreneurship through interest free financing. The goal is not to create jobs, but to create job-creators who will create employment.

Stand up if you are alive
Remember, in the end, your choices define your brand-value and character. Choose wisely because that is how you will be remembered.

Advice to College Seniors
And today, at age 70, I am recreating my career as a Confidential Advisor to Boards and Founders, bringing to bear and leveraging over 40 years of global experience in leadership development, Succession planning, and Family Business transformation across three continents. This, in addition to wildlife photography, and writing; my two passions. You ask, ‘What about retirement?’ I respond, ‘What about it?

Not so hidden cost of AI
Minds devoid of imagination can not only not paint masterpieces but they can’t solve problems, invent solutions, or conceptualize the future and prepare for it. You build imagination just as you build muscle by working the mind hard. When you get AI to do that for you it is like going to the gym and watching a film on weight lifting. You may know a great deal about weightlifting but you would not have lifted any weight yourself. It is lifting weight that builds muscle not watching a film about weightlifting. It is thinking, reflecting, agonizing over creating solutions, losing sleep over the difficulty of doing all this, weeping in frustration, that generates neurons, creates new neuron networks in the brain, and increases brain capacity. It may be painful but no pain no gain.

A world without people
All I am saying is that we must remember that we live in an interconnected world in which we must learn to consider the effects of our actions on others. That is the meaning of social responsibility. Of citizenship. Of humanity. I think it is good to remind and remember that at the end of the day, it is not about the technology or efficiency of using it. It is about why we use it at all.

Should Muslims Vote?
YOU MUST GO TO VOTE. Whether it is raining or not, whatever be the situation, you MUST GO AND VOTE. Remember this is the only opportunity that you have in a democracy to be heard, to influence your own future and to protect yourself from those who wish to hurt you. Remember, a party is not elected by the majority of the population of the country but by the majority of those who cast their vote. This is the key to modern democracies and the reason why you must vote. If you don’t enroll yourself and don’t go and vote, then don’t blame anyone else for the result. You are responsible, and you will pay the price.

Rasoolullahﷺ the best role model for today
He conquered his enemies not by killing them but by killing enmity. That is the biggest lesson for all humanity today which is mired in misery and suffering thanks to mutual hatred. Forgive and start afresh, a society based on mutual respect and acceptance. That is the message of Prophet Muhammad (May he be blessed). A message as valid today as it was then.

What is wrong with the Climate Change message
The bottom line is that if we want action on Climate Change & Global Warming, we must device language that makes sense to ordinary people, creates a sense of urgency in them, shows them how their individual actions can have global impact and most importantly give them viable alternatives to replace what they are doing/using at present. Without that, prepare to become toast.

Indian Muslims – Looking ahead
It must be made clear to all concerned that the issue of the development of Muslims is not an issue of Muslims alone. It is an issue of this land of ours. No country can survive, much less grow and prosper where a large part of its population has no access to its prosperity. We still have that chance. We will not have it much longer.

O! Teacher, stop teaching
If I were asked to define the biggest challenge for the teacher, I would say, ‘It is to teach children how to deal with a world that we know nothing about.’ In such a world, imagination is the key resource that they will need. Without imagination they would be floundering trying to find answers in history or ‘facts’ that they had been taught. But they would never find those answers because they simply aren’t there. Yet the thing that most schools do with amazing efficiency is to kill the child’s imagination as quickly as possible. And sadly, they are very successful in doing so.
