Five Essential Criteria to Train Ulama as Effective Teachers in Islamic Schools

In our time, the effectiveness of Ulama as teachers in Islamic schools is not merely a question of knowledge, but of relevance, impact, and transformation. Having studied the landscape of Islamic education for decades and engaged with countless educators, school leaders, and students, I propose five essential and prioritized criteria to train Ulama to become truly effective teachers in our Islamic schools. Why did science disappear from the Muslim world?

When a supreme external force takes control of a nation with the goal of exploiting it in every way possible, then there is no chance for local talent to be nurtured and to shine. What is more, the constant indoctrination about the superiority of the invaders over the locals and the denigrating, discounting, and denial of all goodness of the local people, their culture, language, religion, dress, food, history, achievements and so on, creates, after a generation or two local people whose feelings about their own identity range from embarrassment to hatred. Maximizing Ramadan on College Campus

College life is a unique Da’awa opportunity for you. Show people the beauty of Islam in practice. Don’t talk about Islam. Show Islam. Let them taste and feel what it means to be a Muslim. Not in some Ramadan event. But every day of their lives, while they are in contact with you in classrooms, gym, dining hall, driving, and sports. Differentiate based on your choices, your attitude, the smile on your face, your hospitality, and above all, your kindness. The One we worship is Ar-Rahman nir Raheem (Most Beneficent, Most Merciful). His Messengerﷺ is Rahmatullil A’alameen (Mercy to the Worlds). So, how must the one who worships Allahﷻ and follows Rasoolullahﷺ be? Stand out as the kindest, most caring, compassionate, people with the highest integrity. Be the go-to people for anyone who needs help. Then see how the world opens for you.

Interest is Haraam
Islam FAQ's

Interest is Haraam

If we understand this one simple, basic fact then all decisions become very easy, and we can live a totally stress-free life. Shaytaan deceives us by distracting our attention from what is in our control – choice of means to receive our Rizq – to what is not our control – quantum of Rizq. He tries to frighten us with poverty and invites us to disobey Allahﷻ. Allahﷻ warned us about this. The question to ask ourselves is, “Who do I believe?” Allahﷻ or Shaytaan. It is truly as clear as that. On that depends our salvation.
